Gojo Machiya

Gojo Machiya is an old Kyoto townhouse built before 1897 (last known record). It has just been fully renovated and features luxurious modern facilities.

With its convenient location, it is the ideal place to stay for the visit of Kyoto, to experience the traditional lifestyle of the people of Kyoto and enjoy a unique cultural experience, with all the modern comfort you can wish for.

Kiyomizu Machiya

Kiyomizu Machiya, an old traditional “KyoMachi” (Kyoto townhouse), was entirely rebuilt from the ground up, keeping only the original wooden structure, using traditional technics as well as traditional and modern materials.  The result is an outstanding combination of tradition, luxury, beauty and comfort.

Its ideal location, less than 1 km from the Kiyomizu Temple and right next to bus stops, makes it the perfect place to discover and enjoy Kyoto.

Sanjusan Machiya

Sanjusan Machiya takes its name from its proximity to the famous Sanjusangendo Temple.  It is located a mere 500 m from this must-see touristic spot.

The house has been fully renovated with a particular attention to traditional details.  It has all the charm of a traditional Kyoto townhouse: tatami mat, sliding wooden doors, paper doors, wooden bathroom, all with luxurious modern facilities and comfort. With its convenient location, right next to several bus stops and near train stations (Keihan and JR),  and with a lot of space, it is the ideal base for the visit of Kyoto numerous touristic spots.

Toji Machiya

Located only 300 m from the famous Toji Temple, in a quiet neighborhood, “Toji Machiya” is an old traditional Kyoto townhouse, featuring luxurious modern facilities and comfort.

The old wooden townhouse has been entirely redesigned from the ground up, with both traditional technics and modern material. Special attention was paid to the refined atmosphere of the place as well as the comfort, for the enjoyment of our guests.

Gojozaka Machiya

This large house is currently being renovated and will feature three bedrooms (one Western and two Japanese), one large LDK, two toilets, two bathrooms, all the modern facilities and appliances, an entrance garden as well as a courtyard garden.  Located a couple of hundred meters from our Kiyomizu Machiya, and a little over one km from the famous Kiyomizu Temple, it will be the ideal place for large groups of up to 10 persons, for the comfortable visit of Kyoto.
